It takes a more pragmatic approach to provide you with a satisfying Windows experience on Android and iOS itself, which is expected to play in their favor in the near future.

It has recently released its own Microsoft Launcher on Android and the Edge browser in preview on both Android and iOS. Second, it brings some of the highlights of the desktop Edge browser to mobile, and a new feature called "Continue on PC" stands out. It allows you to instantly share the website open in your mobile browser with your Windows 10 PC; this will come in handy if you are a regular Microsoft Edge user. note : I tested Microsoft Edge Preview on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 running Android 6.0 but it should work fine on devices running Android 4.4 and above. Also, this feature only works if you're running Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (or an updated Insider build).

Connecting Your Android Phone to Windows 10 PC

The process of sharing web pages with your Windows 10 PC starts with the Settings page where you will connect your Android device to the system. Next, we will move on to the application installation process on the smartphone.

• On your Windows 10 PC, navigate to: Settings->Phone.

• Here, you will notice the option "Add Phone". Clicking on the same will open a dialog asking for your phone number so it can forward you the link of the app required to enable web sharing from any browser.

• The pop-up dialog lets you select your country's area code and Enter the phone number of the device you want to connect with your Windows 10 PC. After you have entered all the necessary information, hit the send button and you will receive a read confirmation message. "Text sent. Check your phone!"

• You can close this dialog to see your phone's name appear in the Phone menu. This means that the installation process is complete from the computer's point of view.

• Turn your focus to your Android phone to continue. Open the link in the text message and upload Microsoft Apps From Google Play Store.

• While this app won't kick in for sharing via the Edge browser on Android, it does allow you to openly share the web page in any other browser on your smartphone. just choose "Continue on PC" Select the option from the share menu and follow the steps below.

Now that you have finished the tedious installation process, let's start sharing some web pages from Microsoft Edge to your Windows 10 PC. If you have already installed Edge Preview and completed the steps mentioned above, you can continue.

• Download and open Microsoft Edge on your Android device and go to the web page you want to post to the Windows 10 PC you just connected. You can easily connect multiple Windows 10 PCs to your mobile device using the process described earlier.

• You will now notice that the bottom menu bar contains a new icon (a smartphone with an outward arrow) right in the middle. this Continue on PC button This will bring up a dialog with two sharing options i.e. Continue Now or Continue Later.

• Now you can tap your device name From the list to immediately open the web page in the Edge browser on your Windows 10 PC. You will be notified then and there that this action has been completed with a toast notification and the web page will open on your computer.

• However, if you choose to open the webpage at a later stage, tap on it. "Continue later" option and the link to this page will be sent to the Action Center on your Windows 10 PC. It also displays a notification on your Windows 10 PC that when you click it opens the shared web page via Microsoft Edge.
